* * * About Dove * * *
I tell everyone that I'm a sweetheart. Well, because I am, hehe : ) I'm in love with nature and animals, exceedingly freedom-minded, fair-minded, open-minded, resourceful, creative, compassionate, meticulous and very intuitive (aka "psychic"), sensitive, empathic...with a potent sense of integrity and a wonderful sense of humor. A wee tad opinionated, but always ready to both stand up for my beliefs and to defend the rights of all, especially the "underdogs" in this world. I'm blessed with an abundance of gifts, skills and talents, and I'm eager to use them to assist others.
I'm passionately in love with the Tarot and have been immersed in mastering it for several years. My Tarot is an extension of and an undeniable part of me. Doing readings is a natural thing for me -- a daily, ongoing ritual that I can't imagine living without. It is my joy : ) Click on the following link to learn about my unique, down-to-earth, personalized and elaborate Psychic-Tarot Readings.
How I came to use and adore the Tarot is a very cool story. I wrote about it a couple of years ago and to my absolute delight, the article, An Owl, a Crow, and a Nudge toward the Tarot, was published in the well-known Sedona Journal of Emergence (Feb 2004). You can read this article and others via my Published Articles page.
I'm most drawn to those who are impeccably honest and have a child-like playfulness, a joyful sense of humor, and an undeniable depth of compassion for others. People who take themselves too seriously bore me silly : ) I adore laughter, and love to laugh. I love people who love Nature, who see the "magic" therein, who adore animals and see their sacredness, who see the beauty and sacredness in all living things.
The two things that I'm most passionate about are the Tarot and freedom. I believe freedom is about knowledge, both inner and outer knowledge. The computer is a blessing for many reasons. It is an instrument for freedom--it gives us choices. It gives us connections and easily accessed information for acquiring that important outer knowledge. The Tarot can assist us in finding that inner knowledge, which will most assuredly set us free.
Metaphysics is my thing. Divination, dreams, Native American spirituality, animal totems, astrology, Runes, the Tarot, numerology... If we're open to it (simply be open to the possibility, pay attention, listen, truly listen), the Universe will speak to us in a multitude of ways. These messages from the Universe are everywhere, especially in Nature. A spider that scurries across the floor, a hummingbird at the window, an unlikely cool breeze on a hot day... If you miss one of these precious messages, not to worry, there will be another and another. Words or a smile from a stranger, flashing lights across the street, a slogan on a tee shirt... The unusual and those things that momentarily catch and at least briefly hold our attention, this is how the Universe speaks to us.
More Dove details? : ) Well, I've always been quite the hermit, I tend to need a lot of quiet time... I'm kind of a neat freak, organized, meticulous and yet also highly creative -- drawing, painting, decorating (love color), writing, photography... I'm exceedingly health-oriented (strong Virgo influence), exercise, yoga, meditation, organic health foods (never eat refined sugar, flour or other "junk food") and lots of other interesting alternative-health rituals are a significant part of my life. I'm also college-educated (areas of study were business, sociology, paralegal...was encouraged by one lawyer/teacher to become a lawyer), and believe it or not, I'm very logical-minded. If it doesn't make sense to me, and it hasn't proven to be the truth in my eyes, then I reject it... BUT, per my life experiences -- having believed for years that many things made no sense that now make perfect sense to me -- it is wise indeed to be very open-minded : ) Most have no clue just what an incredibly "magical" and blessed existence this is...but note, it can only be experienced in that way once one discovers the magic comes from within them. A mediocre mind creates a mediocre world, a magical mind creates a magical world, a magical reality. Or, as one book puts it, "Believe and it shall be so." The real challenge is in the believing. And the key to that is to let up on the mind and give in to the heart : )
